Then suddenly you can hear the hens and geese from the small holding next door which can be entertaining. Also most of the time it’s so quiet you can hear a pin drop. We loved turning all the outside lights off when it got dark so we could watch the stars. The advantage of staying in Le Pigeonnier is there is a huge first floor balcony. It’s spacious, comfortable and very well equipped. The gite is done to a very high standard. They told us of their plans for future improvements. Jamie and Anneli are very friendly and helpful and passed on the knowledge of the area they had acquired in their short time there. The baguettes and croissants delivered at breakfast time were a great start to the day - freshly baked too !

Jamie and Anneli have only owned La Touche for a few weeks but they already know how to look after their customers. We have just returned from a week at La Touche staying in Le Pigeonnier. La Touche is a beautiful and tranquil place to live and we really look forward to showing guests round, but if you cant wait that long check us out below. La Touche is run and managed by Jamie and Anneli, we have run La Touche for the past few years and have made a lot of changes to make sure you have the most amazing stay with us. With its private pool and lush surroundings La Touche is the perfect for families or friends to come and relax, enjoy the weather and good food. La Touche is situated just 20 minutes from the River Loire with castles and vineyards and sits in tranquil surroundings of fields and woods with views south-westward towards Courleon with its church spire set amidst graceful poplar trees. The gîtes have been beautifully and sympathetically restored, all from the local Loire stone ‘tuffeau’.
